Itineraries

Each itinerary will take you on a journey through the history of the city, including the famous and much-praised Westertoren, the beautiful stately mansions along the Prinsengracht, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and the Leidsegracht with its centuries-old trees.

 
 
The river Amstel with the Magere Brug ('Skinny Bridge'), and the famous Royal Theatre Carré. The number of pavement steps represented the status of the people residing in the mansion. Our journey continues along the old harbour, Oosterdok and Central Railway Station, before returning to the Damrak, our original starting point. (subject to alterations)

General information about the canal boat tour

The standard tour lasts one hour. The boats depart every 20 minutes. During busy periods, the boats will depart every 15 minutes. During the sightseeing tour, audio commentary is available in a choice of ten languages. In addition to our regular canal boat tours, we also organise Candlelight cruises during the summer season, see www.rederijkooij.nl

 
Private boat hire

Up to 40 people € 200,- per hour. Groups of more than 40 people € 5,- per person per hour. For boats hired after 17:00, a minimum period of two hours will be charged. The period of hire commences and terminates at Damrak Pier (departure and arrival point).

 
Departure times

During the summer season, from 10:00 to 21:00 (April to September) In October from 10:00 to 18:00. During the winter season, from 10:00 to 17:00 (November to March inclusive)

 
 
 
 
Group packages

Rederij Plas offers sightseeing tours for groups of 20 to 40 people. We offer a special group discount for groups of more than 40 people. In addition, special tour packages are available for school groups.

 
 
Catering
